Himanshu Raj, son of a vegetable seller topped matriculation board exam of Bihar School Examination Board after results went live on Tuesday. Raj, student of Janta High School Tenyaj, Rohtas topped the exam with 96.20%. Himanshu scored 481 marks out of 500. The first topper of the Bihar Board said he studied 14 hours a day to prepare for the exam. Himanshu’s father was shocked at his result and said, “We are not very financially strong but still I have always put my best efforts for the education of my son and daughter”.
After a long delay due to covid-19 pandemic, Bihar became the first state to declare the class 10th board result. Education Minister Krishnandan Prasad Verma released the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) Matric result on Tuesday.
The evaluation process was started earlier but the results were awaited because of the coronavirus crisis and strict lockdown. Evaluation was conducted in 1,348 centers all across the state. Due to COVID restriction there was no press conference held by the BSEB officials thus students and parents will not be able to watch the results on TV. Students can check their result on the official website bsebresult.online, bsebonline.org, onlinebseb.in, biharboradonline.bihar.gov.in by filling up the credentials like enrollment number and code.
Around 15.29 lakhs students had appeared in the Bihar board matriculation exam. In which 2,89,692 students failed and 80.59 percent of students passed. Last year the pass percentage was 80.73. The board has already released the Intermediate result in March with 80.44 percent of students passed the exam.
