A video of Kpop sensation, BTS boys, on Instagram has taken the social media on storm. In the video, Bangaton boys groove to Chadti Jawani, a hit Bollywood number. The mashup was shared by instagram account ‘@qualiteaposts’ a day before. It gained over 90,000 views and more than 800 comments in just one day.

In past few years social medias have seen a continuous upsurge in ‘mashups’. These are basically a mix of two unlike videos and music which are blended together to produce a content which looks originally composed. It’s difficult to differentiate or observe that the viral content is an imitation.
In this particular video, all the seven members of renowned South Korean band BTS are seen shaking legs to the tunes of “Chadti Jawani.” The famous song is from the 1971 film Caravan. But the original clip is actually from the dance practice of the gang’s chartbuster song “Dynamite.” The video is so perfectly synced, in terms of lip sync and dance moves, making it appear as if they are actually performing on the song.
Viral Mashups are in trend:
Earlier, a similar video like this went viral where BTS could be seen dancing on the famous “Chunari Chunari” song. The song belongs to the movie Biwi No. 1. Netizens just cannot get enough of these mashups because they are pure entertainment. Another viral mashup video was from ‘Blackpink’ and modifications were done on the song ‘Pardesiya’.
Various mashup videos have gone viral and it can be called Internet’s new obsession. Pandemic gave a boost to these mashup videos. People all over the world were at home and on internet, in this difficult time and what they needed was entertainment.
BTS love in India: Will BTS groove on Chadti Jawani in the future?
BTS has a huge fan following in India, like in millions. In a recent interview, BTS boys talked to NDTV on the love and support they receive from their Indian followers. They also showed their eagerness to come and perform in India in front of their “Army“, that is what they name their fans. They said, “We hope that day will come soon when we get to perform in front of our Indian audience. We’ll dance, sing and have that energy together.”
All things considered, it is evident from their Indian fans that how much they want BTS to perform on Bollywood numbers. Hope the fake videos turn real soon and it would be a dream come true for BTS Army in India.
