DPS Ranchi’s 31st Foundation Day in Quarantine

DPS celebrates Foundation DayDay

17th July is a memorable day for students and staff of Delhi Public School, Ranchi. Each year, the school celebrates its foundation day on 17th July with much pomp and show. Since its inception in 1979, DPS Ranchi celebrated its 31st “Foundation Day” on 17th July 2020. The pandemic affected the event and unlike the previous years, this year the celebration took place virtually.

Pandemic Celebrations

Contrary to 2020, In 2019 around 500 students from class IX-XII participated in the 30th foundation ceremony and paid tribute to the founders of the institutions. Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh of Jharkhand High Court, Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad and Justice Rongon Mukhopadhyay were the chief guests in this ceremony.

The program started after the lamp ceremony and cutting the cake. School Principal Dr. Ram Singh inaugurated the ceremony. The school released its much-awaited school magazine AKME 2020 on the occasion.

30 Years Journey of DPS

Addressing the students and faculty members of the school, Singh spoke about the school’s contribution to the development of students. Further, he added the various steps taken by the school teaching staff and necessity of a holistic development in students. Watching the kids of primary section wishing the school, a happy birthday made him beam with joy.

He talked about the journey of the school since its inception. He mentioned the various infrastructural and academic initiatives taken by the school towards development. In the end, he extended his special thanks to the entire team of DPS Ranchi. He acknowledged their relentless and untiring efforts, which helped DPS develop and preserve its glory as an institution.

About Delhi Public School

Delhi Public School, Ranchi is one of the prominent schools in the city. State board topper of 2020, 12th Science Ansh Makkar was a student of Delhi Public School, Ranchi. Third state toppers in both commerce and arts stream were students of the school. Also, the school’s performance in the CBSE 10th exam was remarkable. Including the state’s third topper Ananya Mishra, a total of 9 students of DPS were in the state’s top 10 list, with several students jointly sharing the same rank.

Started in the year 1979 the school is located in the SAIL Township Ranchi and has been awarded British Council International School Award two times. The parent organization of DPS Ranchi is DPS Society, Delhi which helps in the overall development of the students. DPS Society has colleges all over the country and is regarded as one of the best educational organizations with a network of over 200 Schools.
