The Internet remained suspended when Bilal was preparing for NEET 2020

Scoring more than 96%  marks, Bilal prepared for the NEET 2020 exam in his native Ratnipora village. During the year Bilal was preparing for NEET 2020 exam, for over 80 days the Internet had remained suspended in Pulwama district.  And for the rest of the period, the speed of the Internet remained restricted to 2G. The speed of the internet is still not increased in his home district.
Talking to the media about his success, Bilal said, “I have to thank god, my teachers and parents who helped me realize my dream. I hoped that I will qualify for NEET 2020 exam, but did not think I would score so high”.
Bilal wants to serve the society in whatever capacity he gets to do. Children get involved in odd and evil things because their parents don’t give them enough time. The remaining gap forces them to take harsh steps, Bilal said.

Bilal was insulated from what was happening to prepare for NEET 2020

” I shifted from Pulwama to Srinagar with my parents three years ago.  My parents insulated me from what was happening in my district whether it is favorable to or unfavorable. Because of it, I succeed,” Bilal told The Hindu.

Find ways, Not excuses

On the internet suspension and slow connectivity in Jammu and Kashmir, the 18-year-old boy said that students in Kashmir need to find new means to achieve their goals.
“If you have a goal and if it is important to you, then there is a need to find ways rather than excuses. We don’t have favorable conditions for many many years now. As we may face more hardships we should be prepared to face the tough conditions” Bilal added.

Bilal would inspire others to qualify  other prestigious exams

Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan, felicitated Bilal for his historic feat of securing 695 marks out of 720 in the NEET 2020 exams. “I hope Bilal would inspire other students as well from the region to qualify other prestigious exams. He will inspire them to serve the society in the best possible way. So that the energy of students would be utilized for the development of the nation”, the official said.

Dreams for a better tomorrow

National Conference president Farooq Abdullah and vice president Omar Abdullah also congratulated Bilal for qualifying NEET 2020 exams. “Bilal has proved that the youth of Kashmir can also do better in academics and excellence. They are second to none in academics. They are chasing dreams for a better tomorrow. Despite all challenges because of the prevailing situation, if students like Bilal can do other students can do it as well”, Abdullah said.

Success in the future

Retired college principal, Muzaffar Ahmad said, “Despite such difficulties of accessing the Internet, uncertain law and order situation, problem of reaching out to academic material and assistance, if Bilal can do it. I do not doubt that scores of our boys and girls will repeat his success in the future”.
