NEET topper Akanksha Singh Hopes to be a Neurosurgery Researcher

“Earlier, I wanted to be an IAS officer, but from Class 9 onwards, I wanted to be a doctor only,” says Akanksha Singh according to the online news portal of The Hindu. In the process of becoming NEET topper, she started her journey from her village school. The school is in Abhinayakpur in Uttar Pradesh’s Kushinagar district. However, her hard work led her to the top NEET ranking. Among the two-historic toppers of the medical Entrance Examination that is NEET, one is Akansha Singh with a 100% score. She is from the rural area of Purvanchal.

Her father shifted with her to fulfill her dreams as she succeeds  by becoming NEET topper 

Mrs Singh, the NEET topper, in a telephonic conversation with The Hindu said “She studied till class 10 in her hometown and then went to Delhi for further studies. Moreover, her father stayed at the hostel with her so that she could complete her 11th and 12th class. They stayed with her to achieve her dream after she completed her schooling.”

Three people were her inspiration while becoming NEET topper

Akanksha’s father served in the Indian Air Force and retired as a sergeant. Whereas her mother holds the position of a teacher in a primary school. Akanksha’s inspirations are her parents and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

She dreams to become a Neurosurgeon Researcher

Her dreams were to become an IAS officer. But now succeeded as NEET topper. However, during schooling in Class 9, her interest deviated and she solely wanted to become a doctor. She likes to interact with people regarding medicine as a profession. Her dream is to become a neurosurgeon researcher and make it to AIIMS. She dreams to benefit her village as well as India from her research work as she talked to the newspaper The Hindu.

Soyeb declared Topper although Akanksha scored 720/720

To break the tie in NEET examination certain rules are applied. According to this policy to become NEET topper, preference is given to Biology followed by chemistry. However, the next factor is the number of incorrect answers. Moreover, if the tie remains then the older person is preferred. So was this case. Due to Soyeb’s age, he was declared topper with the same score.
